DEFENDING Champions of the CAF Champions League, Enyimba, have been applauded by Pepsi for their 2-0 spanking of Ajax Cape Town last weekend.

DEFENDING Champions of the CAF Champions League, Enyimba, have been applauded by Pepsi for their 2-0 spanking of Ajax Cape Town last weekend.

Sam awad, spokes person for the Beverage company in a congratulatory message said that the victory over the South Africans, has raised he hopes of football loving Nigerians.

Through their victory, the Elephants have given football-loving Nigerians, high hope in their ability to retain the CAF cup for the third time in a row.

He urged the technical crew to work on the psychological strength of the team, to reinforce their resolve to take the battle to their opponents, in subsequent matches rather than struggling mid-way in a match to achieve victory.

Awad commended the fans who thronged the Aba Township stadium for their unawarsing support for Enyimba in the tension-soaked home tie against Ajax, noting that the support played a vital role in the teams win.

Speaking on his company's support for the team, Awad assured the players that Pepsi will continue to provide cash and other incentives at every stage of the Champions League competition. It would be recalled that Flying Eagles player Solomon was voted the MVP of the a match and earned for himself a cash reward for N100,000.
