Enyimba, Ahly will play final, Gov Kalu predicts •Ajax coach tips ‘em too

ABA - Ajax Cape Town Coach, Igesund paced round the pitch and screamed instructions to his players when the heat was on at the Aba Township Stadium.

The coach ignored the warnings of the reserve goalkeeper who kept him in check from even entering the pitch. Despite all his efforts, the South African team still went down 2-0 to Enyimba FC, a result that has consolidated the defending champion's second spot position behind Al-Ahly of Egypt. The South African whose boys even stunned Enyimba players with their sassy play predicted that Enyimba should be a team to watch if they get to the semi finals.

"There is one thing about Enyimba. When you think that they are not playing well, that is the time you lose to them. I have watched them over time and I think that they have a good chance of lifting the trophy", the coach said. The coach was merely corroborating the views of Governor Orji Uzor Kalu who said that his team was on the verge of winning the Champions trophy for a record three times.

"I must tell you that Enyimba are now back into contention. I tell you that the final of the Champions League will be between Enyimba and Ahly of Egypt. And in the final, we are going to take our pound of flesh and retain the trophy", the Governor predicted. He said that this year's campaign was getting keener and that Enyimba were best positioned to retain the trophy because the players were hitting form.

"There is an unknown element that sees us through. And you will soon realise why we are called Enyimba. That cup is ours and we are bringing it back for the third time.

I am the one saying this. Remember at the onset I said it and many people dismissed me. After that I said that we are winning it for the second time and some people dismissed me. I am saying it again. And it is going to be like that. Yes! I serve a living God and he has promised me that we shall win the cup for the third time running".

Club Chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu reiterated the Governors optimism saying that they are like the tortoise that walks gradually but steadily. "We are moving steadily and by His grace the cup shall rest with us for the third time", he noted.
