The Chairman of Gokana local government council in Rivers State, Chief (Hon) Fred Kpakol has restated the preparedness of his administration to provide more people oriented services in the area before the end of the present dispensation.

Addressing the staff of the council during one of their regular morning devotions at Kpor, Chief Kpakol warned that the aims and objectives of the administration to improve the lot of the people could be defeated except its workforce remained dedicated and contribute positively towards achieving them.

Chief Kpakol told the cheering workers that the streak of social and infrastructural achievements recorded by his administration in the past twelve months could not have been possible but for their co-operation and, above all, ceaseless support from the governor of the state, Sir Dr. Peter Odili.

The council boss revealed the intention of the administration to encourage youths, women, individuals and organizations in the area to enable them pursue meaningful ventures, even as he used the forum to emphasize the need for moral uprightness among youths of the area as future leader.

The winner of the recent National Assembly Award for good governance at the grassroot level noted the significant contributions prayer has done towards the success of his administration and advised the workers to always consider the morning devotion as paramount among activities at the council review at the infrastructures so far put in place by his administration and thanked God for providing the wisdom, strength and resources which enabled him to achieve them.
