A new twist has been added to the already messy paternity scandal involving renowned accountant the former boss of the Red Cross, Mr. Emmanuel Ijewere.
Apparently displeased with the two-page disclaimer in form of an affidavit signed by Ijewere's aunt, Madam Cecilia Irabor, last week, Madam Doyinsola Ajakaiye, the estranged mistress, has vowed to seek legal remedy.
In the disclaimer published last Sunday, Madam Irabor, 73, portrayed Doyinsola as a flirt out to force her 21-year-old daughter, Esther, on her nephew, Ijewere.
But speaking to Sunday Sun, Doyin repeated her claim that the former Red Cross boss is the true biological father of her 21-year-old daughter.
'I have nothing to say again than to say we shall now settle in court. My lawyer has already written Emmanuel but he is yet to reply. I have instructed him to write him (Ijewere) again. This time, the law will take its course."
Doyinsola is particularly disappointed that Madam Irabor at her age 'would lie just because she wants to defend her nephew."
Said she: 'I am surprised that the old woman can lie at her age. She already has grey hair on her head, yet she is lying.
'Anyway, I will not say anything again. I am going to court. It is the court that will settle this matter. They will hear from my lawyer…"
Prodded further for details, she said: 'I'm sorry I cannot comment any further because I have been instructed by my lawyer, but I want to state categorically that the woman, Mrs. Irabor, was telling a pack of lies. For example, I was never called or addressed as Mrs. Jackson."
Esther supports her. Speaking to Sunday Sun, she said 'My mum should go ahead"
Ijewere has been put on the spot to accept paternity of Esther, the girl that Doyinsola insists is his. Even Esther says that she has Ijewere's blood flowing in her veins.
Reacting, the renowned accountant denied being the real father of Esther, though admitting that he only slept with Doyin once in 1984.
