Umuechem people laud Nwuzi's development strides


The people of Umuechem Community in Etche local government area of Rivers State have commended the developmental strides of Hon. Ephraim Nwuzi, the executive chairman of Etche local government council.

The people of Umuechem Community in Etche local government area of Rivers State have commended the developmental strides of Hon. Ephraim Nwuzi, the executive chairman of Etche local government council.

In a speech presented by Mr. Kelvin Agbam, the chairman of Umuechem community Development Committee (CDC), when the group paid a courtesy visit to the executive chairman, the group gave kudos to the chairman for his resounding leadership qualities.

The group expressed their happiness for the success the chairman has achieved with the first year of his tenure describing it as the manifestation of his visionary leadership style. They pointed at such projects as the Odufor/Nchi bridge which is near completion, the electrification of Ulakwo, Akwu-Kabi and Okehi Communities and the completion of a modern police station at Umuebulu which will enhance the security of the entire Igbo Agwuru-Asa and Etche in general.

The group also pointed out that such achievement must have been responsible for the recent award the chairman won they also they also lauded the efforts of the wife of the executive chairman, Mrs. Stella Nwuzi for initiating developmental projects in the area which is why is she considered the best chairperson in Etche ethnic nationality as well as in the entire Rivers East Senatorial Zone in the state.

Mr. Agbam said, the people of Umuechem have accepted to work with all level of governments, be it local, state and federal, and pledge their total loyalty to Hon. Nwuzi's led administration and called on the chairman to consider their people on the issues of employment and appointment.

In his reaction, the executive chairman of the council, Hon. Nwuzi thanked the people for the visit and commended their peaceful disposition to issues. He promised to look into their problem and advised them to shun bad behaviours like corruption and violence. He also charged them to be law abiding and always use dialogue to settle disputes.
