Okrika chiefs give Walter pass mark


Chiefs of Koniju Town Council in Okrika Local Government Area have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Prince Ibibia Opuene Walter led-administration in the area.

Chiefs of Koniju Town Council in Okrika Local Government Area have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Prince Ibibia Opuene Walter led-administration in the area.

The chiefs gave the pass mark when they paid a solidarity visit to the local government chairman at the council secretariat in Okrika.

Delivering a well-prepared address on behalf of the delegation, Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka Owolo said they were in his office to let him know that not only are they satisfied with his developmental strides, the chiefs are proud to have him as the executive chairman of the local government council.
Chief Owolo noted that the enviable record Prince Walter has achieved in executing people-oriented projects speaks volume.

He specifically lauded the chairman for the construction of the medical diagnostic centre in Okochiri which is the first of its kind in the country and equipping it with digital equipment.

The chiefs also commended the Walga boss for the payment of NEPA bills to cushion the effects of large sums owed the corporation by the Okrika people.
While praying God to grant him wisdom in the discharge of his duties, the chiefs pledged their loyalty and readiness to always rally round his administration.

In a response, the chairman of the council, Prince Walter said his inspiration has bordered on the fact that he has come to transform Okrika developmentally.
Prince Walter told the chiefs that he would stop at nothing in putting the local government area on a fast-lane of developmental rejuvenation.

He informed them that his administration has concluded plans to float the Ofirima Express, a transport company of the Local Government, which will afford Okrikans an opportunity of traveling to Abuja and Lagos from the area.
Prince Walter also told the delegation that the free distribution of G.C.E forms to Okrika youths will continue so as to re-direct and develop them towards capacity development.

The Walga boss thanked the chiefs for their visit and advised them to always sue for peace and unity in their domain.
