Managing Director of the company, Adebanke Alawaye told ThisDay that this service enables a subscriber to send and receive his business email on his mobile device wherever and anywhere in the world. The device is available on most cell phones, PDA's, Laptops and other such devices.
According to him, "The email is routed through the servers and can be delivered to you, either via GSM/GPRS, Dialup connection and WI-FI on the cell phones, through VPN, LAN e.t.c on your PDA's and laptops. No matter how many devices you use to receive your mail, you can only pay for one license, since you are the same user."
Alawaye disclosed that the mobile e-mail could be made available to either an individual through the BlueMobile server or a corporate installation in an organisation for companywide mobile e-mail access.
The Blue Interface boss further stated that the web-based email uses a browser to access the email interface on the mobile device. For a client-server email implementation, the user interface is provided by the email client, which interacts with an email server to send/receive email messages which is same as the email clients used on a desktop PC like Microsoft Outlook.
The Application, she said, is secure with data encryption since no data is stored on the device unless permitted by the user and if the device is lost or stolen, a company data is not at risk.
It is also compatible with most smart phones, PDAs and Laptops.
According to Adebanke, people stand to gain a lot using BlueMobile, an enterprise mobile email solution. It is a sophisticated independent base network that can be accessed globally and has one of the highest impacts on productivity after voice.
Another benefit of the service is that BlueMobile reduces voice phone bills by as much as 20 percent. Sales contract can be reviewed and approved while receiving and responding to email messages while in traffic or at the airport.
Again, it improves satisfaction through quicker response time of sales force, business operations are more efficient, paperwork reduced making field information readily available at the office.
