The decision to place the men on alert, followed a letter written by the traditional leader of the community, Pere Amakosu to chairman of the community's governing council and copied to all security agencies in the state.
In the letter, it was stated that the governing council executive wanted to suspend the community's constitution in order to continue in office against the wish of the people.
Pere Oduwor said this action had polarised the community which was the arrow point of the Warri crisis, adding that his people could not afford another round of warfare.
The royal father made it clear that the chairman of the governing council should be held responsible if the kingdom grounded to anachy again.
Following the desision of the executive council of the community to suspend the constitution, one Momotimi Ebigbagha had gone before a Warri High Court to stop the council from carrying out the action.
Ebigbagha insisted that the chairmanship of the community rotated among six quarters of the community every two years and any attempt to suspend the constitution, would deny his quarters their opportunity.
The situation has created tension in the community which houses over four oil flowstations and the multibillion naira Odidi Gas Gathering project.
A security agent told THIS DAY that a breakdown of law and order in the area would affect the nations oil production, the beef-up of security.
