The Rivers State contingent to the CAF Champions league finals last Saturday at the Sheraton hotel and Tower, Abuja won virtually all the Awards and sovereigns made available by Globacom the Official sponsor of the 2004 soccer premier league.

The awards ceremony which was tagged: Globacom 2004 premier league Awards were in such categories as:
Players and coaches category.

1. The best Goal keeper: Chiejioke Ejiogu of Dolphins FC
2. The best coach of the year: Musah Abdulahi of Dolphins FC
3. The most valuable player (MVP): Victor Ezeji of Dolphins
4. The team of the year: Enyimba FC of Aba, and
5. The best broadcast journalist: Rhythm 93.7
6. The best print: New Age Newspaper

Telegraph sports can authoritatively reports that persons and organs that received awards are now entitled to 24 months free airtime from Globacom.

The highlight of Award Night was the presentation of a giant trophy to Enyimba FC of Aba by the chairman of NFC Alhaji Ibrahim galadima who said "I must admit that what we are doing have today is part of the development of soccer in Nigeria". Dignitaries who attended the showpiece included CAF president Isaa Hayatom and NFA Secretary General Taiwo Ogunjobi
