Traditional ruler hails Attah


The paramount ruler of Etinam Local government Area of Akwa Ibom State, His Royal Highness Edidem Ime D. Umoe has described Obong Victor Attah as a leader who has the interest of his people at heart in all his dealing.

Speaking with newsmen at his palace in Etinam, the royal Father, said that the administration of Obong Victor Attah has reformed the state, setting it on the path to rapid development.

He noted that the state has been a peaceful area for investors to come and do business.

The traditional ruler was particularly happy that Governor Attah was determined to complete all ongoing projects embarked by his administration to the glory of the Akwa Ibom people.

Umoe appealed to the government to pay priority attention to the educational sector in order to ensure that standards are not compromised.

According to him. education is the key to success and one of the greatest investments that any government and family can make, especially in ensuring that human resources needed to lay the foundation for the future are properly developed.

Asked what he thought of the pace of progress in his local government, the royal highness disclosed that the Head of council of Etinam has tried his best by providing the people with some democratic dividends in the area of electricity generation and road construction.

He acknowledged that the head of council has exhibited respect for elders and made himself amenable to advice.

He congratulated the newly sworn-in deputy governor, saying that the task before him would not be an easy one.

He prayed that God would continue to give him wisdom to do his job well.
