Vice President Atiku Abubakar yesterday paid a condolence visit to Chief Solomon Lar over death of his only son, Mandam Mark Lar.
Vice President Atiku Abubakar yesterday paid a condolence visit to Chief Solomon Lar over death of his only son, Mandam Mark Lar.
The Vice President who during the visit described the death as shocking, added that Mark's death was a great loss to the family.
While commiserating with the family, Vice President said he would have paid the visit earlier but that he was away on vacation in the Unites States of America.
He added that upon his return from vacation, he had to quickly travel to Saudi Arabia to represent President Olusegun Obasanjo at the burial of the late King Fahd.
The Vice President said, 'on behalf of myself and my family, my sincere condolences to the family of Chief Solomom Lar, and I pray that Allah gives the family the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss."
Responding on behalf of the family, Lar thanked Atiku for his visit and great concern.
The Late Lar died at the age of 35 at the National Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness.
