The chairman of Akuku-Toru local government council, Hon. (Barr.) Tammy Wenike Danagogo has been described as a blessing to the people of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.

Chairman of Abonnema youth Organization (AYO), Mr. Adonijah Obene Alabraba who stated this while speaking to our correspondent at Abonnema, said Youths in the area have followed the activities of Hon. Danagogo, a true source of inspiration to youths in the dispensation.
Mr. Alabraba spoke of how the people of Akuku-Toru have been enjoying democratic dividends since Danagogo became council chairman, attributing the successes recorded so far to his policy of consultation with traditional rulers, chiefs, politicians, youths and other opinion molders.
The youth leader commended the Akuku-Toru helmsman for the achievements recorded within his short stay in office and pledged that youths in the area would support him to achieve set goals.
He praised Hon. Danagogo for his recent awards as the best council chairman in the Kalabari speaking area and the Rivers South-West Senatorial Zone; and urged him to continue the good work in order to win more glories and laurels for Akuku-Toru; adding that Danagogo is a pride to the Abonnema Youth.
Similarly, an aide of Hon. Danagogo says the recent award which was presented by a Public Relations outfit, the Independent Media Bureau after a tour of the various local government councils in the state, indicates that "ALABA" (as Hon. Danagogo is fondly called by admirers and well wishers), really respects his oath to serve the people to the best of his abilities.
Tamunosaki Briggs noted that since Hon. Danagogo took office fifteen months ago, he has proved to be a first rate administrator anointed by God to lead the people of Akuku-Toru to the promised land.
"From Infrastructural development to Youths and Women Empowerment, Transportation, Education, Staff Welfare, Security, Sports development, Tourism, Health Care Delivery among others, Hon. Danagogo has made an indelible mark and enshrined his name in gold in the Akuku-Toru hall of fame in just fifteen months," he aide repeated. Some of the awards won by Danagogo are when the Institute of Good Governance and Accountability honoured him last year as one of the emerging leaders of our time and another by the Actors Council of Nigeria, Rivers State chapter which recognized and awarded him the "Thespian Award for Excellence". The Executive Council of NULGE also honoured him with a "Comradeship" for his disposition to workers' welfare.
Furthermore, Governor Odili who was also impressed by Danagogo's strides urged council chairmen to emulate him for leadership in the third tier system.
