The paramount ruler of Okoboh community in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, Uweme Edwin Ikata has lauded the state government for the acquisition and commissioning of the Aircraft Ambulance jet, fondly called our "Lady Queen of victory" by President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abuja recently.

Uwema Ikata, who made the commendation while speaking with newsmen in an exclusive interview at Okoboh in Abua, described Governor Peter Odili as a proud son of the Orashi region and Nigeria as a whole in the acquisition of the Aircraft Ambulance jet for the State Government, noting that the attainment of this feat was borne out of hard work.

According to the paramount ruler, the acquisition of the Ambulance jet has come at a time when the quest for diversification of the state economy was more than needed, stressing that the much expected revenue generation from the Aircraft would supplement the state's monthly statutory allocation in addition to the value added tax "vat".

Chief Ikata, however, appealed to the state and local governments to assist the Okoboh community in the renovation of the twelve (12) classroom block for the primary school in the area, which renovation work is currently going on by the single efforts of the community, pointing out that the Odili-led administration has renovated a significant percentage of government-owned primary and secondary schools, which has increased the enrolment of public schools in the state.

In his response, the Okoboh community development committee chairman, Chief Godpower Micah, who is also a strong advocate for Peace and community development; commended Hon. K.S. Dema, Executive chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government, Area for embarking on the renovation of primary schools in the area and urged him to extend its renovation work by assisting Okoboh community in its renovation work at the primary school building.

Chief Micah expressed delight on the Okoboh council of chiefs and elders for their peaceful conduct of the community's affairs and reminded parents of their crucial role in the upbringing of the children in our society.
