OSOGBO - THE leader of Oranmiyan group a socio- cultural organisation of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Osun State, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola has dared the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to go ahead with its threat to drag him before the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)
The PDP had in a statement signed by the state secretary Mr Samson Adeojo accused Alhaji Aregbesola of funding the Oranmiyan group with the Lagos State government money.
Oranmiyan group is the platform with which the Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development is seeking the AD's ticket for the gubernatorial election in Osun State.
But the group in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Gbenga Fayemiwo stated that the leader of the group was not afraid of being investigated by EFCC or any other body charged with that responsibility by the government.
His words: "Oranmiyan has for long been waiting for the anti-corruption agency of the PDP controlled Federal Government to query the reckless and indefensible lifestyle of the entire leadership of the Osun State Government under Brigadier-General Olagunsoye Oyinlola (rtd)."
"Let the EFCC do a good job of investigating anybody found to have embezzled public funds as long as PDP members in Osun State are not treated as sacred cows. We call on the PDP in Osun State to be prepared to face the scrutiny of forensic financial investigations that will leave no stone unturned and spare nobody in its inquiry."
