Babatunde signs for Msida SJ F.C.


Msida SJ signed the talented 20-year-old Nigerian striker Olalekan Ibrahim Babatunde.

Msida SJ signed the talented 20-year-old Nigerian striker Olalekan Ibrahim Babatunde. Babatunde was a former player with Arezzo in 2002 and Piacenza in 2003-2004. He also played with RAEC Mons OF Belgium. Babatunde had his contract released last season after Mons relegated.

Babatunde was signed by Parma when he was only 15 years old. He then played with Arezzo in Italy's Serie C 1. He then by-passed two divisions from Serie C1 to Seria A to play with Piacenza in the season 2002-2003. His debut in major Italian division was against his former team mates Parma. In that season he also played against Milan and Bologna.

They have also announced that Daniel Nwoke has signed a new 2 year contract with the club. The club will have a formidable front line the coming season with Babatunde and Nwoke.
