Disgraced former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ibrahim Salisu Buhari, said he has quit politics for good.
Speaking in Kano at the weekend, the young business man said. 'I will never come back to politics. I am doing fine in my business and I am comfortable. There is no point going back to politics.
Asked what he will do if his people request that he return to politics, he said: 'That is a different thing; ah, if they force me, then it is a different matter all together, but for now, I am a complete businessman.
His conversation with Daily Sun went thus:
You are afraid of coming back to politics. You lied and was disgraced out office?
Not so! It is not because of that, if I had wanted to return to politics, I would have done so a long time ago. I just don't like politics any more.
We learnt that you went back to school, have you finished?
That is my private life, can you spare me that please?
What type of business are you into?
I am into production of mats, prayer mats and I am doing well. I am okay, so no time for politics.
How much are you worth?
I can't say anything on that, but suffices it to say I am doing very, very well in my business!
How old are you?
Which year are we now? We are in 2005, isn't it? Then, I am 35 years old.
How many wives have you and what type of food do you like most?
No more please!
And with that Alhaji Buhari was driven off in his gleaming jeep.
