Apart from the problems of cultism that the Lagos State University, LASU, is known for, I wish to relate my experience at the Epe campus of the institution in your medium.
The Epe campus houses the institution's engineering faculty, and as a 200 level student of Microbiology on a visit to the facility, I was thrilled by its topography and serenity.
It was cool during the day and cold at night, with all the facilities to allow for concentration while studying.
For one, the campus has a station which I learned is run by students, and it is Studio X.I.
While the feat is not entirely unusual among engineering students, the professional way with which the music on the radio is mixed is another issue.
The radio station also features educative programmes on the evils of cultism and the reality of HIV/AIDS.
This feat has convinced me that something good can come of LASU.
All that the institution needs to attain greater heights and write its name in gold is the cooperation of all stakeholders, especially the students and the owner state government.
