DUDU Orumen, one of the wise men who interviewed and recommended Philippe Troussier to the NFA as Technical Adviser has hit back at former Vice Chairman of NFA, Richard Nwabufor Obienu, describing him as one of the "concur" members of Nigerian football.
DUDU Orumen, one of the wise men who interviewed and recommended Philippe Troussier to the NFA as Technical Adviser has hit back at former Vice Chairman of NFA, Richard Nwabufor Obienu, describing him as one of the "concur" members of Nigerian football.
"I want to believe that Obienu did not say the things he said about me or he was misquoted. If he did, it is unfortunate and I think he is one of the concur members of the Nigerian football", Orumen known for his oratory in football said. Obienu had criticized the composition of those who went to London to interview Troussier and others, saying that Orumen and Supporters Club Chairman, Rafiu Ladipo, had no business being in the team.
"His views were borne out of ignorance. If not, he would have known that I went to London as an observer. Besides that, I did a lot because all the coaches came with their Lawyers and I handled the legal aspect of their contract. Without arrogating knowledge to myself, I handled the legal aspect, their conditions, expectations and asked all of them valuable questions. Could Obienu have handled those things? I don't want to join issues with people but it is not fair for people to talk without thinking", Orumen added.
