THE embattled Abia State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Uzodinma Okpara has urged the national leadership of the party to resolve without further delay, the crisis rocking the party in some states to strengthen it for forthcoming national and state congresses.
UMUAHIA - THE embattled Abia State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Uzodinma Okpara has urged the national leadership of the party to resolve without further delay, the crisis rocking the party in some states to strengthen it for forthcoming national and state congresses.
Speaking in Umuahia, Okpara said he was unhappy that some members of the party in Abia State were bent on creating confusion at a time all hands should be on deck to build a stronger PDP in the state.
Okpara said that as a law abiding member of PDP, he strongly believed that the best way to build a formidable political party is to strengthen the hold on the grassroot.
"It will be good for the national leadership to intervene in the states where there is crisis and endeavour to resolve it because it is only when the party is stable that the membership at the grassroot would have confidence in it," he stated.
