Nigerian Medical Doctor and internationally recognised scientist have been invited by an International team of medical scientist to participate in the global effort towards elimination and cure of HIV-AIDS.
According to the press release by Barol Ochenge of AIDS WATCH, Brig. Gen Ovadge of the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos has been requested by Professor Bernard Kirshbaum of Drexel University to mobilise a team to conduct the African version of the study and to explore the possibility of using medical Ozone in the management of HIV/AIDS.
This gesture, according to Professor Kirshbaum is of the hope that Gen. Ovadje, with a proven capacity to perform, will be able to start the theraphy and conduct clinical trials on many people who are afflicted with these diseases.
Gen Ovadje, the first medical doctor to invent the blood transfusion device was on October 2004 rated among the top 100 Health Professionals medal for making a significant enough contribution in the field of medicine both nationally and internationally.
On the new assignment, Ovadje has since commenced arrangements to facilitate his study in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, Lagos.
