The Former Mayor of Port Harcourt city, Hon. Nnamdi Wokekoro says Governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia State is the ordained president of the country, come 2007.
According to the Mayor who was speaking to newsmen over the weekend at his residence, Kalu had been exposed both in business and government with his charismatic ability and God's given wisdom to contest such an office.
He said it would be in the interest of the country that an Igbo man be given an opportunity to rule the country time around.
He disagreed with those thinking that the Igbos will use the opportunity to break away, saying that "If for anything, the Igbo man is the only detribalized Nigerian. He invests and lives anywhere and as such will be more suitable to protect these investments".
Wokekoro noted that MASSOB activities arose out of perceived injustice to the leadership of the country.
He noted that any other Igbo candidate indicating interest to contest the presidency should not be taken seriously, saying "I am talking about the likes of Rochas Okorocha. These are enemies of the Igbo, who are easily used against their people".
On the unhealthy sanitary condition of Aba, the commercial town of the State, Wokekoro said the Aba North and South local government council, should be held responsible for the development and not the governor.
He said governor Orji has rehabilitated most of the roads in the state.
