Gatewaybank Collects NEPA Revenue


Power Holding Company plc (formerly NEPA)has further demonstrated its confidence in Gatewaybank Plc by entrusting it with revenue collection.

Power Holding Company plc (formerly NEPA)has further demonstrated its confidence in Gatewaybank Plc by entrusting it with revenue collection.

The approval, which was contained in a letter, sent to the bank and signed by the agency's Chief Operating Officer for Port Harcourt Distribution Zone, Engr. G.O Chiatula, empowers the bank to collect its revenue for Uyo metropolis of Akwa-Ibom State.

Gatewaybank is a member of the Intercontinental group, comprising Intercontinental Bank Plc,Gatewaybank Plc, Equity Bank of Nigeria Limited and Global Bank Plc.These are a family of banks with related shareholders and common board members. The group, which has receive pre-merger consent from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), will form a mega bank known as Intercontinental Banking Group by the end of next month.

The development is coming one month after the the same agency and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) appointed the bank to manage its cash offices in Eko (Ijora) district of Lagos and nationwide collection of revenue on visa, entry permit, ECOWAS, residence among others respectively.

The development would further avail customers and the good people of the state the opportunity of benefiting from its services which are computerized and connected through a state of the art, on-line banking software package for efficiency,speed and ability to meet the needs of the customers.
