Presumably worried by the fate of youths in the Nigerian polity, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) has outlined different programmes to address issues affecting the leaders of tomorrow.
Consequently, the mission has nominated Professor Tam David-West to deliver a lecture on "Building leaders for tomorrow: A collective Responsibility."
According to the Evangelical Mission, the lecture will kick-off on September 1, 2005 at the Shell Hall of Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos as part of activities to mark the birthday of Dr. Mike Okonkwo, the Bishop of TREM.
The lecture to be delivered by the renowned Professor of virology will be a challenge to Nigerians to see leadership as a collective responsibility irrespective of tribe, profession, social status and educational background.
Also to feature is the 2nd edition of the Mike Okonkwo essay competition for secondary schools, an annual event aimed at contributing his (Bishop Okonkwo) little quota to encouraging the youths to achieve their divine purpose.
