The legislative arm of Andoni local government has vacated for an annual recess.

The leader of the House, Hon. Sampson Sam Itogwung made this public recently in his office in the temporary legislative chamber, Ngo headquarters of Andoni local government area.

In a release made available to this publication and signed by the house leader and the clerk of the house tagged "notification of 2005 legislative annual recess", the power for such a recess was derivable from the standing order 4, section 9 subsection A and B of the Andoni Legislative Assembly.

The notification reads: "In line with standing order 4, section 9 subsection A and B, of the Andoni Legislative coupled with her resolution on the above subject matter in previous session on Tuesday 24th of May 2005, we wish to inform you that the House has proceeded on her 2005 annual recess with effect from today, 1st of July 2005".
