The Etche for positive change, a scio-cultural organization in Etche Local Government Area has warned detractors and mischief markers in the area who go on the pages of newspapers to make fictitious and malicious publications to desist from such practices.

The warning came from the chancellor of Etche for positive change, Mr. George Anokwuru while speaking to newsmen in his office. He said that the chairman, Hon. Ephraim Nwuzi is barely one year in office and should be given adequate time and conducive atmosphere to discharge and implement his programmes so as to put smiles on the faces of the people.

Mr. Anokwuru noted that the campaign of calumny mounted by negative forces were intended to frustrate the good intention of the chairman.

The chancellor stated that the insinuations by the faceless writers were politically motivated and done in bad faith and advised perpetrators to spare the chairman the energy to perform his legitimate duties, stating that, destructive criticisms and frivolous allegations do not create the needed atmosphere.

He listed some of the laudable projects formulated by the chairman to move the area forward, which are; the Egwi-Ulakwo-Akwukabi and Okehi electrification project and the Nihi-Odutor bridge.

He reminded the people of Etche that the destructive criticisms and frivolous allegations will not take the area to any positive level and called for a change of heart.
