Tammy Wenike Danagogo has expressed gratitude to the Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili for his magnanimity and kind gestures towards the people of the area, describing him as not only a Golden Governor but as an action Governor indeed.

Danagogo who stated this at Abonneman was grateful to the state Governor for the release of one hundred million naira to the Abonnema Council of Chiefs for the development of the Abonnema Community and the Abonnema Ring Road Project.

He explained that apart from Abonnema Community, Dr. Odili has done the near impossible to maintain peace in the border oceanic communities of the area by facilitating efforts to ward-off external aggression and waging war against illegal bunkering.

The governor, he continued, has also approved and embarked on several projects in Kula, Abissa, Soku, Idama, Elem Sangama, Oru Sangama and others to the joy and amazement of the entire citizenry who are now reaping the dividends of democracy due to the Governor's large heart, noting how the governor had earlier approved and disbursed money for projects worth about one billion naira in Akuku-Toru L.G.A. and appealed to the governor to continue his good works to the glory of God.

An elated Danagogo assured the Governor that the Council, in conjunction with the Abonnema Community, would assist the state Government to monitor the projects to ensure early completion.

He stressed that the kind gestures of the Governor would further strengthen the bond of friendship and understanding that had existed between the State Government and communities of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.

The Akuku-Toru helmsman promised to assiduously maintain the exiting peace in the area, and restated the unalloyed support of the people to the Odili-led administration in the state.

Similarly, the Deputy leader of AKULGA Legislative Assembly, Hon. M.M. Jack, says he lacks words with which to express his heart-felt appreciation of the gesture of Governor Odili to Abonnema and in fact, the whole council.

"No leader has done what the he has showered on us. I am lost for words but all I can say is that I will serve him politically till I die", the deputy leader declared.

In another development, Youths of Obonoma Community in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area (AKULGA), have been charged to continue to maintain peace always so as to attract government attention.
