Checks at the player's residence at Rock Haven revealed that the place is heavily guarded as teeming visitors have to be properly identified with a confirmation before gaining entrance.
"Since Mikel returned, the house has become a beehive of activities with different people coming in, so it is necessary to put some security measures in place," a close associate of the player told KICK OFF.
Even at the training ground where Mikel, alongside Ezekiel Bala and Emmanuel Sarki regularly trains, the soldiers were at hand to keep things under control as hundreds of admiring fans gather to watch the highly rated youth international in action.
Agent John Shittu attended to monitor the boys' movement in town. "I'm on holidays in Jos and as you can see I am enjoying the weather which is similar to that of Europe," Shittu said
