According to sources, the police on getting the information of the shooting in the neighbourhood swung into action by rushing to the scene with a view to apprehending the assailants. It was, however, gathered that a stray bullet ostensibly from the police said to be in hot pursuit of the fleeing cultists may have hit the Youth Corps member who was making a telephone call by the road side.
