Minister of Defence, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has said Nigeria is ready to stop any possible attack with the defence sector on red alert since last week's bomb blast in London.
Fielding questions from newsmen yesterday in Kano, the minister allayed fears that the country was facing the threat of terrorism.
He however admitted that there was a report of a possible attack a fortnight ago but was quickly nipped in the bud.
'We shall all be concerned. What happened in London could have happened any where in the world. However, I am happy to tell you that we are doing whatever we can possibly to make sure it does not happen here," he said.
Speaking further, the minister disclosed that former chief of Army Staff. Gen Victor Malu may likely face anticorruption charges for collecting gratuity twice.
