A trader at Ladipo Market, Lagos, who was robbed of his money while on business trip by armed robbers may have decided to join the profession as he was arrested with large quantity of arms and ammunition, including Indian hemp along Enugu-Onitsha express road.

Obinna Eneje was believed to be on a mission to deliver the "goods" to his gang when he was apprehended by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The suspect who boarded a bus at Onitsha told the driver that he would disembark at Ezeagu, a notorious spot along the road. Before embarking, Eneje was told to drop his luggage in the boot of the bus, which he vehemently refused, but instead kept it beside him in the vehicle.

According to NDLEA Enugu State Commander, Barr. Fred Ezeorah, Eneje was arrested at Ugwuoba junction by a patrol team of NDLEA. He alleged that the suspect is a member of an armed robbery gang operating within Enugu metropolis and environs.
The commander revealed that the exhibits, 700 rounds of live 10mm high calibre ammunition, 90 rounds of catridge of pump action and double barrel guns, six empty magazines of AK47 rifles and 11 wraps of Indian hemp, were concealed in a biscuit carton covered with black nylon in a Toyota Hiace bus registered with the Transport Corporation of Anambra (TRACAS). The accused, the Commander alleged, wanted to abandon the luggage when the NDLEA men swooped on him.
Ezeorah further disclosed that the suspect after interrogation made a confessional statement and has been transferred to the police for further investigation. He appealed to members of the public to help the agency in its drive to cleanse the society from drug and crime by giving useful information. The commander warned against the use of hard drugs, which he said has a nexus with violence.
