OSOGBO - FOLLOWING a violent clash between members of the Man 'O' War and the students union executives of the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, the institution's authorities have shut down the school.

There was pandemonium in the school on Thursday when the students union executives and members of the Man ‘O' War clashed during which sporadic gun-shots were fired.

Some students had accused the Students Union President of allegedly misappropriating the students union money and called in the Man ‘O' War to arrest the President.

Vanguard gathered that the students' union executives had planned to launch a repraisal attack against the members of the Man ‘O' War for malhandling the President.

The management was said to have got wind of the planned attack and moved to nip it in the bud to avoid throwing the polytechnic into crisis.
