Flying Eagles coach, Samson Siasia literally declared tomorrow's quarter final match against The Netherlands at the World Youth Championship as a war that must be won as he and his boys are not ready to return home yet.
Siasia who spoke to fifa.com said that The Netherlands as hosts would be a difficult team to beat. 'The game against Holland will be a difficult game for us, and for them too", he said, adding 'we have no intention of going home (yet) after coming this far".
He added that 'my boys are hungry and determined" to buttress what he told Brila FM in Lagos during an earlier interview that his boys are self motivated and play their hearts out because they know why they are in the championship.
He disclosed that his strategy has been to watch video clips of their matches to know where they made mistakes and correct them as well as watch those of their opponents to know what to do, adding that it worked perfectly for them against Ukraine where they had to mark out two key players, Oleksandr Aliive and Artem Milevskyi to neutralise the team. He said that the Flying Eagles would turn a dreaded side once 'our strikers start to click and begin to finish their chances".
