Nigerian Drug trafficker sentenced to 14 year imprisonment in Cambodia


A court of Phnom Penh has sentenced a Nigerian national and a Cambodian man to 14 years in jail for drug trafficking, according to the Cambodia daily.

Phnom Penh (VNA) - A court of Phnom Penh has sentenced a Nigerian national and a Cambodian man to 14 years in jail for drug trafficking, according to the Cambodia daily.

The accused, named Peter Brown, 42, and Kim Vanna, 46, were also ordered to pay a fine of about 2,500 USD each.

Police arrested Brown and Vanna on July 20, confiscating a large cache of high grade Ecstasy. The duo confessed that they received packages containing 6,000 pills from the Netherlands, the court said.

Vanna was seized while picking up four packages containing pills and Brwon was arrested at Phnom Penh International Airport, according to police.-Enditem
