Nigeria's second largest national carrier, Globacom Nigeria has become the 1st corporate organization in Africa to clinch the prestigious Leonardo da Vinci Innovation Award.
Nigeria's second largest national carrier, Globacom Nigeria has become the 1st corporate organization in Africa to clinch the prestigious Leonardo da Vinci Innovation Award.
The award is organized by the International Creativity and Innovation Forum, an international body with presence in 60 countries, and head office in Ontario-Canada.
A statement to the press by the international president, Dr. Maria Segal, said Globacom led the award nominations conducted online between January to April, this year ahead of six other organizations nominated from across Africa.
It thus emerged as the only Africa company to win the award and also join the league of distinguished recipients globally.
The Leonardo da Vinci awards is named after Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest scientists, and artists the world has ever produced.
The award was instituted in 2002, Buffalo, NY, USA to promote and encourage creativity and innovation among individuals and organizations around the globe.
