Jerry Ani will play for Valletta next season after the Nigerian forward put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Citizens last night.
Valletta general secretary Anton Abela told The Times that club officials met Ani and his agent Henry Ekezie and reached a final agreement over his move.
At Valletta, Ani, last season's Division One top scorer with 18 goals for Naxxar Lions, will join Bulgarian midfielder Milen Penchev and Branko Nisevic, the Serbian defender, as the team's foreign players.
Ani will fill the void left by fellow Nigerian Chris Oretan, whose services were not retained by the Citizens whom he had joined during the January transfer window.
