A housewife in Lagos has reportedly confessed to her husband that she had sex with a prophet inside a temple.
Through the years, the marriage between Jeremiah (surname withheld) and his wife, Rachael, had been sailing in stormy waters because it has not been blessed with a child.
The husband thought the problem was with the wife and the wife thought the husband couldn't impregnate a woman until he proved it with a girl he was befriending behind the wife's back.
While she was looking for a solution to her problem, a friend introduced Rachael to a prophet from hell, who told her that she would never get pregnant unless she sleeps with 'a man of God."
Jeremiah said: 'She told me that a prophet at Idi-Araba area of Lagos had sex with her inside his temple when he told her that she will only get pregnant if she had sex with a man of God.
'She said that she obliged and stripped before his temple and he had her after he had said that he was qualified to do that to her as a man of God."
Jeremiah, who said he was exposing his wife so that he could free his conscience, stressed that in Igboland, once a housewife engages in extra-marital sex and her husband hears about it and keeps quiet, he is digging his own grave, if the woman continues to cook for him.
He said: 'I come from Ohafia and those who are from that part of the country know what I am talking about. We had our white wedding in 1997 after a traditional marriage in 1993. We have been living together since 1990. Within this period, she got pregnant only once. And when she delivered the baby in 1993, the child died shortly after birth. That was the beginning of our problem, because since that time, my wife found it hard to take in.
'We are supposed to be very good Christians, at least in the eyes of man, and people saw us as such. I trusted my wife. She was a strong member of our church. She said she got involved in adultery in order to get pregnant. I did not suspect this until she said it."
According to Lawrence, a crack appeared in the marriage when his wife visited his parents and told them that she was 100 per cent alright medically, and that the problem was with their son.
'Since she had placed the blame on me, I had to prove that I'm potent," the man said. 'A girl was arranged for me and she got pregnant and delivered a baby boy. People then knew that the fault was not with me.
'I never knew that she didn't like what I did. She told me in her confession that she started having affairs since that time. And I didn't notice because I left Lagos for Ohafia to execute a contract."
As the wife begs for forgiveness, Lawrence is finding it hard to forgive her, because of his belief that Rachael had other affairs besides that of the prophet.
He said that he once found a napkin that someone had used to clean sperm inside his bedroom and his wife couldn't explain how it got there.
He also spoke of a man, who the wife had introduced to him as a brother but later turned out to be her lover.
'She confessed that Uche watched blue film in my house and had sex with her on our matrimonial bed," Lawrence said, adding that he had taken his wife to one evangelist after her confession.
But trouble continued between the couple until the wife got the police to arrest her husband, who she said was threatening her life.
