Governor Gbenga Da-niel of Ogun State, yesterday inaugurated the Board of Trustees and Governing Council of the Bells University, Badagry, with a charge to them to take the Institution to an enviable position.
Governor Gbenga Da-niel of Ogun State, yesterday inaugurated the Board of Trustees and Governing Council of the Bells University, Badagry, with a charge to them to take the Institution to an enviable position.
Daniel said the emergence of the Institution would enhance development of Science and Technology in the country.
According to him, all members of the Board of Trustees and the Governing Council are people of wide experience and high calibre, who would bring their experience to bear on the institution.
He commended Dr Onalapo Soleye and his team for their stabilising roles towards the actualisation of the project.
Daniel urged them to ensure that the institution strives for the best in all ramifications.
In his remarks, Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Peter Okebukola, urged the University to aim for the best in both physical and academic developments.
Okebukola pledged the support of the Commission for the rapid and effective take-off of the institution.
Responding, Chairman of the board of Trustees, Professor Tekena Tamuno, assured that members would justify the confidence reposed in them.
Other members include Professor Akin Mabogunje, who is also the Chancellor, Dr Sheriff Adetunji, Dr Onaolapo Soleye and Mrs Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello.
