Amina Usman who about three weeks ago was delivered of a baby, said to be a product of a forced sexual intercourse which took place in a farmyard, was sued together with her betrothed by Abba Adamu.
The plaintiff, who had agreed before religious leaders at the early stage of the pregnancy that he was responsible for it and had paid N3,000 for three consecutive months for the girl's up keep headed for the court to deny the pregnancy as he only had sex with the girl once.
Abba told the court presided over by Mr. Dickson Amos, that he had known the first accursed person for about five years as they all live together in Rikkos area of Jos.
The plaintiff, a trader and cattle rearer, agreed that Amina was with him when he was feeding his animals but he never had sexual intercourse with her there. He said he only had sex with her in Tudun Wada area of Jos.
He told the court that when she became pregnant, she approached him for financial assistance to enable her terminate the pregnancy and he had refused but asked her to got to the man who put her in the family way.
Amina and Abdullahi also urged the court to order Abba to pay the sum of N6,000 monthly for her upkeep and maintenance since the pregnancy and a mandatory injunction restraining him from denying liability for her upkeep and pregnancy.
In his response to the counter claims, Abba insisted he was not responsible for the pragnancy and that he did not know what came on him when he agreed to pay N3,000 monthly. Further hearing in the matter continues.
