Mrs. Bolanle Adeyemi was first arrested by narcotic agents at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, on March 16, 2002, while trying to bring in 1.2kg of heroin from Pakistan. Then, she used an international passport bearing Mrs Amina Abdullahi Hamza.

Among other things, her Yoruba accent made the eagle-eyed security agents suspicious and by the time they concluded their investigations, Bolanle (real name) was discovered to have ingested some wraps of heroin and concealed some in her private part.

Daily Sun investigations revealed that the suspect was later charged to court but was granted bail.

While the legal battle was still on, the suspect obtained another international passport, bearing Popoola Olufemi to traffick cocaine to London and she was arrested on April 7, 2005. She was said to have concealed the drug in her private part and in a cloth tied round her waist.

Parading the suspect and 26 others before newsmen Thursday, at the command headquarters of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Murtala Mohammad International Airport, the Commander, Alhaji Abdullahi Danburam, said the suspects' arrest was made easier by the use of sniffer dogs at the cargo terminal and baggage hall of the airport.
He explained that the agency had been working assiduously to enhance its operations and ensure more arrests of drug traffickers.

"This has started yielding result with our recent seizure. Our latest exploits have led to the arrest of 27 drug traffickers within the last two months," he said.
The suspects are: Ezeanya Afamefuna Saint Peters (37), Olowoyo Adenike (28), Nwokoro Emmanuel (37), Ahanotu Jenson Emeka (34) and Anya Godwin Appolos (35).

Others are Momoh Ajayi (32), in possession of 1.070kg of cocaine, Chibuike Udenka (29) was arrested on April 22 with 400 grammes of cocaine, Chukwuloka Chidi (29), arrested on April 23, Oguejiofor Romanus, 28, nabbed on May 1, with 1.460kg of cocaine.
Lawal Bashiru (26) was arrested on May 4 with 1.180kg of cocaine. Egbuta Johnson, (34) was held on May 6, with 930 grammes of cocaine, Odita Prince (30), arrested with 1.585kg of cocaine on May 6, while Nweke Emmanuel (42) was arrested with 1.190kg of cocaine.

Also paraded were Ekwuno Chike (36), Erhabor Philomina, Yusuff Temiloluwa Rotimi, (42), Olisa Ikechukwu Fidelis (27), Umeh Emmanuel Ifeanyi (33), Onuoha Kelechi Goodluck (24), Emenuga Odira (30) and Okoroezi Kalu (40).

Also in NDLEA net are Okwaraji Paul (33), Igwe Alison John (30), Komolafe Jolayemi Olu (39), Luta James Kalu (40) and Balogun Okanlawon (36).
