At least 15 persons were confirmed dead and about 1,500 houses destroyed last week in Gombe State following a torrential rainfall. The rainfall which resulted in a flood also left about 434 families displaced in the state capital and environs, according to David Albashi, state commissioner for Water Resources and Environment and chairman of the resettlement committee.
