The Akwa Ibom State Government has recovered N90 million from Stirling Nigeria Limited, a Kaduna based firm, for its failure to execute the Nkemba drainage project in the state. Obong Victor Attah, governor of the state told journalists in Uyo last week, that the money was part of the 25 percent mobilsation fee paid the company.
He said the state had to resort to court action before it got the money back from the company. Attah, however, said that the contract had been re-awarded to another company.
