Nemesis has caught up with a 29-year-old man whose stock in trade is engaging teenage boys in unholy sex. After several homosexual escapades spanning over six years, the curtain fell on Mr. Arinze Onyekwelu last week, as he was picked up by the police in Abuja.
His arrest by men of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command Criminal Investigation Department (CID) followed a tip-off on his activities with a 14-year-old boy identified as Ifenayi (surname withheld by us).
Though he did not disclose how many teenage boys he has engaged in sex since he commenced his satanic hobby, Arinze confessed to having anal sex with Ifeanyi for over a period of one year before he was nabbed.
Strictly for fun. No rituals
However, while the police believe he may have been doing it for ritual purpose, Arinze says he is into it just for pleasure.
'I don't really know what came over me. I just like having sex with the small boy. I enjoy it. I don't do it for money but I have been doing it with Ifeanyi for almost one year," he told Saturday Sun last Thursday at the FCT Police Command headquarters where he is presently being held.
I won't blame the devil
Unlike others in similar perversion who quickly blame the devil when caught, Anambra State-born Arinze who claims to be a businessman, would not blame the devil for his predicament. He says he was introduced to the obscene lifestyle by an Onitsha-based businessman (names withheld) who has since relocated to Germany.
'He was having sex with me when I was very young and I enjoyed it. So, when I think back to those days, I normally feel like having sex with small boys, and that is how I have been doing it," he further confessed.
Pays boy between N20 - N100
Arinze and Ifeanyi, a primary five pupil, live in the same neighbourhood at Idu-Karimo, an Abuja suburb, where they were caught in the act.
Ifeanyi who confirmed having sex with Arinze since last year, says he gets between N20 and N100 after each act.

But even as he claimed not to have been influenced by the paltry cash gift, Ifeanyi says he had to keep the deal secret for fear of his life.
'It was not that I was enjoying it or I liked it because of the money he was giving me, but I was afraid to tell my guardians because Arinze said he would kill me if I tell anybody," says Ifeanyi, an orphan, who lives with his paternal uncle, Engr. Cletus Amareegwu in Abuja.
Shocked
The uncle was evidently shocked and short of words when Saturday Sun sought his comments on the development. He is at a loss as to what may have prompted his 14-year-old nephew into engaging in such a satanic act.
'I don't know why the boy had been having sex with Arinze for such a long time without telling us because if it is money, he is properly taken care of. In fact, my wife has a very big shop where he helps in selling most times and nobody will know even if he removes
N100,000 at a time. So I don't know why he was doing it," he told Saturday Sun.
Warning signals
Amaraegwu said signs that all was not well with the little boy started manifesting late last year when, besides complaining of constant stomach pains, Ifeanyi transformed from a level-headed and obedient boy to something else.
'He became stubborn. When you send him to fetch water, he disappears for a long time and returns to tell you stories. Even when you flog him, he will just stand there looking at you. He behaves like a moron," Amaraegwu explains.
‘Unnatural offence'
FCT Police Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Adebayo could not be reached for comments at press time, but a senior police officer who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident, assuring that Arinze would be arraigned next week on a charge of 'unnatural offence."
