Already, as inside sources hint, detectives have swarmed the place in a bid to determine the extent of possible fraud.
A top official in the board is believed to have had a chat with security operatives that are investigating the alleged theft.
There are even speculations that he may have been bailed.
When the incident occurred is not yet known but some persons associated with the pension's board told this publication that the amount involved by run into several millions of naira.
One source however said he heard that the sum of N12.5 million naira might have been snatched through manipulation..
Pensioners in the State have not had it easy in the last few months, especially in the face of what close watchers insist is the toss around of retirees who have no one to depend on.
