By this, the bank has joined the league of banks with the capacity to facilitate money transfer from any where in the world. The pilot phase of the exercise which has kicked off shows that all international money transfers will be paid in dollars, while domestic transfer will be paid in naira.
A statement from the Branding and External Affair Unit of the bank, enjoined customers of the bank to process all international money transfers without delay with Metropolitan Bank speedy and service.
Presently the bank has 25 branches strategically spread across the country. The management of Metropolitan Bank has over the years demonstrated their resolve to continue to render services that will meet the need of its customers and also enhance the growth of the economy.
Metropolitan Bank it would be recalled pioneered the Zero Commission on Turnover (Zero-COT, No Strings Attached), which has since been copied and fine-tuned by others. This value added service was introduced into its banking operation on August 1, 2001.
COT is one of the numerous core income earnings for banks and it is usually applied on current accounts on turnover basis ranging from N5 per N1000 or less.
