The Plateau State Police Command has so far arrested 55 suspects in the recent Jos crisis in which more than 500 people were killed.
The Plateau State Police Command has so far arrested 55 suspects in the recent Jos crisis in which more than 500 people were killed. The command's public relations officer, ASP Abubakar Umar, told newsmenin Jos yesterday that investigations have been completed by the police, and that the suspects could not be taken to court due to the ongoing strike by the judiciary workers nationwide.
He said those arrested during the crisis include fake soldiers and mobile policemen who allegedly killed several people in the crisis. They also include those who violated the curfew imposed by the state government and those who were found stealing public properties during the crisis, he said.
