A 24-year-old domestic servant has been electrocuted while trying to pluck a fruit from a mango tree.

A 24-year-old domestic servant has been electrocuted while trying to pluck a fruit from a mango tree.

The deceased was identified as Mary Egah, a native of Cross River state. Before the tragedy, she was said to have been working for a Chinese businessman.

According to an eyewitness, Mary was trying to pluck a mango with an iron rod. Unfortunately, the iron rod touched a live wire and she was electrocuted. The incident occurred at the Chinese businessmanís residence, at Vulcanizer Bus Stop, Adeniji Jones, Ikeja,

When P.M.News visited the house yesterday, policemen from MAN Centre, led by the Divisional Police Officer, had arrived and removed the deceasedís corpse, and deposited at the Ikeja General Hospital.

At the time of filing this report, a police source revealed that the deceasedís boss had travelled out of Lagos. None of the victimís relative could be contacted to inform them about the fate that had befallen the young lady on Monday afternoon.
