After four days in captivity, the son of the Chairman of Esan South East Local Government, Edo State, Hon. Andrew Ojiemhekele, Senator, has been released.
The boy was kidnapped in his school in Uromi, headquarters of Esan North East Local Government by unknown persons last Friday.
The eight-year-old boy was released to his father on Tuesday at about 8p.m, it was learnt.
But it could not be ascertained whether any ransom was paid.
The boy was said to have been dropped close to his father's residence and the kidnappers called his father to pick him up.
Sources close to Ojiemhekele confirmed the release of the boy, whom they said, was in good health.
