The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested two persons over the death of five children of the same parents last week in Ado-Ekiti.
Akeem Azeez and Rasheed Fatai are telling investigators all they know about the incident.
Six children - all girls - of an Ado-Ekiti butcher, Mr Mutiu Nureni, were locked in the booth of their father's Mercedes 190 parked in front of their Ado-Ekiti home.
Five of them suffocated to death. The survivor, Rashidat, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Azeez, who was paraded before reporters yesterday, denied complicity in the death of the children.
But the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Mr Sunday Anjorin, said the suspect was identified by Miss Nureni.
The suspect said Nureni had been his friend since 1996, adding that he started life as a butcher but later veered into commercial motorcycle business before returning to his former business three weeks ago.
The police also paraded 24 suspected cultists with the instruments used in initiating them into secret society.
The suspects whose ages range between 13 and 15 years, were arrested at Ido-Ekiti, the headquarters of Ido/Osi Local Government Area.
Some of them have the marks of their cult group on their arms.
Some of them are members of Eye Fraternity who had been expelled from their secondary schools for cultism.
