AC challenges Oyinlola on failed projects

The Action Congress (AC) in Osun State has challenged Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola to make good his threat to report contractors who collected mobilisation fees from government without discharging their obligations to the anti-graft agencies.

The Action Congress (AC) in Osun State has challenged Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola to make good his threat to report contractors who collected mobilisation fees from government without discharging their obligations to the anti-graft agencies.

Reacting to a statement by the Ministry of Information on the alleged failure of over 20 contractors to execute their contracts, AC said the failure was an indictment of the Oyinlola administration.

In a statement by its Director of Research and Strategy, Sunday Akere, the party challenged the Oyinlola administration to beam its searchlight on other contractors to plug the drain pipes through which public fund is allegedly being siphoned.

The ministry recently threatened to report some contractors who had failed to execute projects awarded to them to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

AC described the threat as empty.
