SUPER Eagles midfielder, Christian Obodo has been shackled by the top brass at the Stadio Friuli and a January move seems unlikely.
Udinese director Pietro Leonardi has denied reports suggesting Obodo would be leaving the club in January.
The talented midfielder was linked with a move to Lazio during the winter transfer window, but Leonardi insists the Nigerian will not be leaving any time soon.
The Biancocelsti have hinted that some strengthening could be on the cards but they may need to find an alternative for Obodo as Udinese shackle him to the Friuli.
"Obodo is not leaving," Leonardi told Cittaceleste.it.
"I have never spoken with Lazio about this.
'The player wasn't getting much space because he returned from injury but he is very important for the Bianconeri cause.
"He will find more space in the team with time and we need him. He will not be leaving in January."
Udinese have enjoyed a mixed season to the campaign.
They began in fifth gear but slowly started to stall, and they now play Lazio this weekend.
